JOB TITLE: HEAD OF CROP INPUTS

Job Summary:

Ready to cultivate success? We are looking for a Head of Crop Inputs to lead the charge in delivering exceptional value across Crop Protection, Fertiliser, and Seed departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership and Strategic Direction

Provide strong leadership to the Crop Inputs team, driving performance and delivering clear direction.
Contribute proactively to strategic business planning and align team goals with organisational objectives.

Business Plan Development

Prepare and deliver annual business plans and budgets for Crop Inputs in collaboration with procurement managers.

Procurement and Value Delivery

Source crop input products (e.g., protection, fertiliser, and seed) through innovative strategies that maximise value for members.

Supplier and Market Management

Manage supplier relationships, negotiate high-level contracts, and identify new market opportunities.
Stay informed of external factors (political, social, economic) affecting the business.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Act as the primary interface for customers, ensuring service consistency and effective communication.

Team Management and Development

Mentor and develop direct and indirect reports, address performance issues, and maintain high team morale.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with other departments to share expertise and explore joint ventures or cross-selling opportunities.

Compliance and Process Oversight

Ensure adherence to company policies, including health and safety, and maintain accurate records of all activities.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Challenge the status quo, propose bold changes, and drive the commercial success of the business unit.

Professionalism and Representation

Act as a credible and professional representative of the company at events, ensuring the business’s reputation remains strong.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BASIS and FACTs holder is an essential requirement for this role.

Proven experience in the Agronomy or Crop Inputs sector is key

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage procurement processes and vendor relationships.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
